I love cats.
I was 4 years old when my family adopted two orange tabby kittens. Since then I’ve always had cats in my life, and lived a life full of Cat Joy.
When my younger daughter, Natalie, had just turned 3 years years old, I took her and her cousin to the Austin Animal Center. It was meant to be an outing-something to do because it was so hot outside.
We had two big dogs at the time, and my husband said, “Do. Not. Come. Home. With. A. Pet.”
I was in total agreement.
Natalie was not.

I texted Dave and said, “We’re bringing home a calico kitten named Snowball, who was adopted, spayed, declawed, then brought back to the shelter because her owners couldn’t keep her.”
He replied, “I’ll get out the litter box.”
The name Snowball didn’t stick, and we ended up calling her Kiki. Her full name is Snowball Kiki Babowskers. She is loved beyond belief.

About 8 years ago, my daughters and I started fostering kittens as volunteers for the Austin Animal Center.
It started as a kind of Feline Therapy, when my younger daughter, Natalie, was ill.

Her illness didn’t take hold, but fostering kittens did.

Then three years ago, I became a professional cat sitter (even though I’d do it for free).

And so here we are.
The internet is full of cat content, but in my opinion, there’s never enough.
